Donald “Scott” Thorson is a graduate of Union University where he received his bachelors degree in social work. He has longed worked as an advocate for the victims of domestic violence and those who have reached a point of desperation in their lives. He started his work in social services with Tennessee Correctional Services as a facilitator for their intervention programs. He moved on to work at the Department of Children’s Services before answering the calling God put on his heart to serve at the Dream Center.
Gail Gustafson, Director of the Dream Center, announced, “I am thrilled to welcome
these four talented individuals as officers. Their unique backgrounds and diverse
experience make them a great asset to our board and community.”

These officers who, along with the rest of the Board, jointly support the Center’s mission
to minister to women and children who have experienced loss of employment, housing,
family support, and other crisis in their lives. These officers will lead the organization as
they continue to accomplish the goal of raising funds for a new building to house
homeless women and their children through a capital campaign.
